Volunteer Perks

Volunteers are the most important aspect of this Sale. Without Volunteers, we would not be able to have a Sale. So in addition to the usual perks, we added a twist of money.


1st Perk: You get to preview all the items as they come in.

2nd Perk: You get to shop before the Vendors. (It's not fair if you have to work and can't shop, so you get to go through 1/2 hour before the PreSale opens).

The BIG Perk: If you work a minimum of 10 hours throughout the course of the Sale AND you stay for clean-up from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., we will give you an 80% comission instead of the regular 70% cut. You must stay for clean-up and you must work 10 hours.

Here are the times we will need volunteers.


Sunday, March 18, 2001

12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. This will be a husband work day. We have had a very poor showing for this in the past years. His hours count towards your time! We will be getting the racks down out of the attic.


Thursday, March 22, 2001

Check-in from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

We will start the set-up at 9:00 a.m. We will put the tables in their proper place, hang signs, and get ready to receive Vendors for check-in. Some people will go out to pound the signs around the church. We will be assisting the Vendors for check-in. We will need a lot of people in the morning hours, and late evening. CHILDCARE WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR THE MORNING HOURS.

If we work efficiently on Thursday, we will only need to be at the PreSale by 5:30 p.m. to do a final check on the items and for the Volunteer shopping. The PreSale is from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.


Saturday, March 24, 2001


The sale is open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We will close for lunch (Subway is on us) from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Clean-up is from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are inviting your husbands and children to come for the clean-up. We will have pizza for everyone, and Childcare for the kids. We really need the husbands to help put away the tables and the racks and pick-up the signs.


Vendor pick-up is from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. We only need two or three people to stay until 6:00 p.m. and lock up.


Childcare is available if needed, just let us know.
